Ashley Naginewicz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with mental health and substance use clients to help them on the path to recovery and overall wellness. Ashley believes that long-term recovery and wellness from substance use and mental health issues can be achieved; as well as finding a sense of peace and balance within one’s life.

Ashley has worked in the field of mental health and substance use for 8 years with experience in counseling with medication-assisted treatment, mindfulness recovery, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

Ashley is a trained in mindfulness and acceptance therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.

She has also published articles for the Interdisciplinary Journal of Advances in Research in Education, written a chapter for a publication on social justice, and presented for Learning Disability Worldwide.

Ashley holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from American International College.

Zainab Abdi MSW, LICSW received her master of social work from Springfield College, in Springfield Massachusetts.  She holds an independent licensers. She is fluent in Somali and Arabic and specialized in refugees, war trauma, anxiety, depression and adjustment issues. By providing judgment free zone and space to heal she teaches clients skills such Emotional Freedom Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance, Dialectal Behavior Therapy and helps them into the path to restore autonomy, ability, values and hope.

Ismael J Cintron is a Behavioral health Clinician who works with individuals, couples and families to help them with depression, anxiety, substance use disorder, and other mental health issues.

Ismael’s background and experience in Behavioral health, Substance Use Disorder and Problem Gambling specialist allows him to assist our patients and community to be resilience, improve self esteem and learn to improve their coping skills to address their main concerns.

Ismael has worked with the Department of Family in Puerto Rico helping investigating and securing children and families, has worked in a non-profit organization by supporting women and children survivors of sexual abuse, and for the last 3 years continue helping individuals and groups as a behavioral health clinician.

Ismael is a LCSW, MA PGS trained in trauma informed care, Substance Use Counseling and Problem Gambling Specialist.

Ismael holds a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Pontifical Catholic University in Ponce PR.

Prasad Dulal, LICSW received his master’s degree in social work from Westfield State University.  He holds bachelor degrees from both Purbanchal University in Jhapa, Nepal, and Cambridge College in Springfield. 

Prior to coming to Caring Health Center, Dulal was a social worker for the Massachusetts Department of Families and Children in Holyoke. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Nepali.

Allyson Faulstick received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling/Advanced Trauma-Informed Counseling from Bay Path University in East Longmeadow. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Merrimack College in North Andover.

Prior to coming to Caring Health Center, she was a Psychiatric Counselor at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, where she assisted in the development of a counseling curriculum by incorporating trauma-informed practices to milieu activities and interventions. She was a Promise Program Senior Peer Mentor and SCURCA Research Assistant at Merrimack College.

Her areas of expertise include pediatrics and trauma. She is trained in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), (Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment Theory and Mindfulness and Somatics.

Deborah Flores-Carrion obtained a Bachelor’s and a Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras. After completing her Master’s degree, Deborah has continued taking courses and training relevant to mental health and substance abuse. Deborah has received her Social Work License and served many areas in Western Massachusetts, Puerto Rico, and the Connecticut area.

Deborah has over 20 years of experience working in the Department of Families & Children, services against addiction, and mental health agencies both in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Post serving individuals in Puerto Rico, in 1987, she worked for Gandara Mental Health Clinic, which broadened her sense of community agencies and resources valuable to patients.

Deborah is an English and Spanish-speaking Clinician and seeks to provide the almost the best quality of care for her patients. Deborah’s initiative is to develop unique forms of treatment for individuals and families, while also implementing effective interventions that will further progress a patient’s advancement.

Qualazale Jones holds a Master’s in Social Work degree from Westfield State University and a Bachelor’s in Forensic Psychology from Bay Path University in Longmeadow.

She gained valuable work experience at the Center for Human Development in Springfield and River Valley Counseling Center in Holyoke, where she provided psychotherapy to clients and outpatient therapy to students in the Holyoke Public Schools system.

In addition, Qualazale has training in domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy, trans and nonbinary inclusion, and child and adolescent trauma. She considers herself an advocate for social justice in underrepresented communities.

Sophia Rivera earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Bay Path University in East Longmeadow. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Westfield State University.

Prior to coming to Caring Health Center, she worked at Youth Villages and Tempus Unlimited, both of Springfield.  She has experience as both a family intervention specialist, educator and patient care specialist.
