Dr. Almaaz is a General Dentist and Dental Site Director at Caring Health Center – Sumner Avenue location, where he has been practicing since January 2023. He provides comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages, with clinical interests in preventive dentistry, restorative care, endodontic treatment, prosthodontics, extractions, and individualized treatment planning. In his Site Director role, he supports clinical teams and promotes efficient, high-quality patient care.

Dr. Almaaz earned his dental degree from Vision College of Dentistry in Saudi Arabia in 2015 and is a member of the American Dental Association. He is committed to continuing education and values integrity, clear communication, and building long-term trust with his patients and community.

Dr. Lucila Bruno is a general dentist who works with adults and children providing comprehensive dental care in CHC since 2012.

Dr. Bruno believes that the treatment of oral diseases should have an integrated approach that takes into consideration the complexities of the general health and habits of each patient. Her mission is to provide care to patients in a safe, reassuringly pleasant and comfortable environment.

Dr. Bruno holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidade Federal do Ceara in Brazil, a Doctor of Science degree in Oral Biology from Boston University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University. She has received awards for her academic work in Brazil, has been awarded a scholarship to Boston University and participated in the Honors Program at NYU where she has also received an award in Periodontics.

In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Bruno has volunteered in the Operation Smile and has given numerous educational seminars in Oral Health and Prevention to school children in Brazil.

In her free time, Dr. Bruno enjoys yoga, painting and hiking.

Dr. Castro received his D.D.S. from Colegio Odontologico Colombiano School of Dentistry, in Bogota, Colombia and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana School of Dentistry, in Bogota, Colombia. Following his surgical training in Colombia, he built a practice and served in several clinics in Colombia. Dr Castro practiced the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with emphasis in Dento-Alveolar surgery, reconstructive surgery, oral pathology and orthognatic jaw surgery. He relocated to U.S. and after 7 years of practice at Holyoke Health Center, Dr. Castro joins Caring Health Center committed to provide excellent care and service to our patients.

Dr. Isabelle Diniz comes to Caring Health Center with a wealth of experience. She graduated with a degree in dentistry from Rio de Janeiro State University in Brazil in 1990. She received her postgraduate degree in pediatric dentistry from the University of the Planalto Central in Brasilia, Brazil, in 2004. Thirteen years later, Dr. Diniz earned a degree in hospital dentistry from the Multidisciplinary Center for Intensive. Dentistry (CEMOI) in Rio de Janeiro.

She practiced dentistry for 31 years in Brazil before moving to Western Massachusetts with her husband in 2023. Dr. Diniz is a staunch supporter of community health centers and believes strongly in the importance of dental education and preventive care.

Dr. Samreen Fatima Hussain earned her degree in Dental Surgery from Fatima Jinnah Dental College at the University of Karachi in  Pakistan. Her residency took place at Fatima Jinnah Hospital.

Dr. Hussain has experience in amalgam and composite fillings, partial denture services. simple extractions, crown and bridge preparation and cementation, pediatric dentistry, preventive care and esthetic dentistry. She is a member of the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.

Dr. Yaman Kana is a professional general dentist with a primary mission of examining, diagnosing, and treating oral diseases. He provides a full range of dental care including oral surgery, endodontics, restorative dentistry and dental hygiene. Dr. Kana is the dental site director at the CHC healthcare facility at 1235 Boston Road, Springfield.

Dr. Kana graduated from the University of Constanta in Romania in 1998. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society and South Shore District Society. He has done research in sodium hydroxide in periodontal treatment. 

 Before coming to Caring Health Center, Dr. Kana worked at community health centers and private practices in eastern Massachusetts and Damascus, Syria.  A compassionate general dentist, Dr. Kana is committed to providing quality care for his patients.

Dr. Areen Kharashgeh is a highly accomplished general dentist with an impressive academic journey and dedication to her profession. She graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery from Jordan University of Science and Technology, where she laid the foundation for her career in oral health. Following graduation, Dr. Kharashgeh moved to the United States to expand her knowledge and expertise.

In 2024, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Boston University, graduating with honors — a testament to her exceptional skills and commitment to dental excellence. Before completing her doctorate, she also pursued a Master of Science from Central Connecticut State University, further enhancing her understanding of dentistry’s scientific and clinical aspects.

Dr. Kharashgeh’s diverse educational background, which blends international and U.S.-based training, has shaped her into a well-rounded and highly skilled professional. With a passion for improving patients’ oral health and a drive to stay updated with the latest advancements, Dr. Areen Kharashgeh is poised to continue making significant contributions to dentistry. 

Dr. William Travis King seeks to improve access to care for vulnerable populations. He is committed to providing integrated, high quality culturally sensitive oral health to pediatric and adult patients. Dr. King is the associate dental director at the CHC healthcare facility on Sumner Avenue in Springfield.

Dr. King received his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he graduated summa cum laude.  

Before coming to Caring Health Center, Dr. King was the residency program director at Christ Community Health Services, a federally qualified health center in Memphis, Tenn

Dr. Yury N. Medina  earned her Degree in Dental Surgery from Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia – Medellín, Antioquia. 

Prior to coming to Caring Health Center, Dr. Medina worked at Nevins Dental Center, Boston Dental and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, all of Boston. She has a strong academic foundation in the stomatognathic system and craniomandibular health, and is dedicated to delivering comprehensive oral care. She was honored for her undergraduate thesis, “Main Complaints Brought to the Court of Dental Ethics.”

Dr. Medina has extensive experience in the private and public sectors of healthcare. She is skilled in clinical dentistry, research, and promoting dental services in underserved areas.

Dr. Luis A. Mogollon earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Peru. He holds a Master’s Degree in Dentistry from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Peru.  

Prior coming to Caring Health Center, Dr. Mogollon worked in private practices was a member of the faculty at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and lecturer at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. He has published articles on antibacterial activity and toxicity and the prevalence of hypodontia and supernumerary teeth in patients with cleft lip.
