Shawn A. Lewinson serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at Caring Health Center, where he provides strategic leadership for the organization’s human resources functions, including talent acquisition and retention, employee engagement, leadership development, organizational culture, compensation and benefits, compliance, and workforce planning. As a member of the executive leadership team, he partners with organizational leaders to cultivate a workplace that supports Caring Health Center’s mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare to the communities it serves.
Shawn brings more than 30 years of experience in human resources, executive leadership, finance, and organizational development across healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, municipal, and cultural organizations. Prior to joining Caring Health Center, he served as Senior Director of Human Resources at McCall Behavioral Health Network, where he led enterprise-wide human resources strategy and workforce initiatives. His previous executive leadership roles include Chief People & Culture Officer at Aspire Living & Learning and Chief Human Resources Officer at Community Mental Health Affiliates. He also served as Director of Human Resources at First Choice Health Centers and the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, building a strong track record of developing high-performing teams and strengthening organizational culture.
Shawn earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from the University of Hartford, as well as an Associate of Arts from Capital Community College. He holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute, reflecting his commitment to the highest standards of human resources leadership and professional excellence.
